Connect Infinite: free puzzle app game for iphone, ipad There is a surprise

iPhone Screenshot 2

We’ve seen many ‘connect the pipes’ type puzzle apps. Connect Infinite comes from Glen Dizon.

The object is to rotate the pips, in their fixed places, so that no steam escapes. I did the first 25 or so levels rapidly while watching the news. I checked the leaderboard and saw only 50 players.

A couple of things are different: see the double pronged gray pipes? That’s new. Look at the yellow shapes: those are pipes that must be connected – but you don’t know what the opening/closing valves look like.

Big surprise: see the red circles? Tap on them once and that whole square region will rotate. Very interesting.

One negative element: each time you start a new level, the top of the puzzle is obscured by that blue bar with the time. I didn’t realize, until level 60, that you’re supposed to drag the playing field down. Ugh.

Major Surprise: Starting at level 76, there are red circles, whose squares share some pipes. This means that pipes can migrate from one square region to another. At this point, Connect Infinite becomes a serious, hard set of puzzles.

Polarity Puzzle – Connect positive to negative poles

iPhone Screenshot 1  iPhone Screenshot 4

Polarity Puzzle – Connect positive to negative poles comes from Hexagony and Pushopolous.
Both are decent point scoring puzzle apps. Of the two, I prefer Pushopolous. But I haven’t played either in a long time.

The object in this game is to place the New Tiles from the bottom into the grid so that all the Positives match the Negatives.  There are 3 grid sizes.  I did the small grid & large grids and got 100%.

Interesting game, but it’s definitely not the type to play over and over again.

Connect Cubes: free puzzle app game for iphone, ipad

iPhone Screenshot 1   iPhone Screenshot 5

Connect Cubes is an edge matching puzzle. Red squares can be rotated, but not moved. The blue ones can move, but not rotate. The pinks can do both.

There are 200 levels. I’ve done about 40 of them.

Lines: Connect the Dots – free puzzle app game for ipad

iPhone Screenshot 1         iPhone Screenshot 3

Lines: Connect the Dots is another topology puzzle app.  Remember last Friday’s review of One Line: Circle & Conquer.  These are basically the same thing. Although that other game is much harder.

Today’s game has 75 levels and I solved them in about 15 minutes. If you’re having trouble with One Line: Circle & Conquer, switch to these. Once you know the trick, these become so easy!

I had a little trouble with one level because the dots were tightly packed and I was allowed to draw illegal lines between points.

There’s one level with 3 stars that I particularly liked.

Hey, this game is totally free.

One Touch Neon Glow Draw: Free Shape Puzzle Drawing & Connect Games (That’s one long title.)

iPhone Screenshot 2

Some games need to be avoided. One Touch…Games is one of them. The graphics are good. But there are only 16 levels and an ad pops up after each one.

Is there a puzzle app game that you’ve played that’s simply awful?

Dots Color Match – Tap & Connect Puzzle Game

iPhone Screenshot 2                       iPhone Screenshot 4

Alan Kong  has come up with an interesting test-your-reflexes game.  As the colored balls fall from the top, you must rotate your polygon by tapping and catch the red balls with the red side etc.

It’s a good game. But the speed picks up too quickly for me.  In any case, it’s another good game/exercise to ward off Alzheimer’s.
